Celebrating Twenty Years!
“Dumb and Dumber” Celebrating 20 Years!
I still remember our wedding day. A new movie was out, and the church marquee read “Dumb and Dumber”, announcing the sermon title that week. We took a picture in front of the marquee, and I think I (Gary) was on the “dumber” side. Well, “Dumb and Dumber” just celebrated 20 years of marriage. It is humbling, but also encouraging, to know that while God refers to us as sheep, one of the “dumber” animals, He also reminds us He is the Good Shepherd. Special thanks to the Gau family for the generous gift certificate to dinner.

All Moved In…Now Leading Other Men
It does not seem long ago that Charles asked me to be his mentor. I am not sure who is learning more. Charles has now graduated from the mission, has a new job, and is all moved into a new apartment. Special thanks to the Devany family for generously donating the furniture for Charles’s apartment. Through these and many other gifts, Charles is not only rebuilding his own life, but is now giving back as well. Every Thursday Charles and I each lead a men’s recovery small group.

Helping Men Reach Other Men
After launching, it did not take long to be reminded we cannot reach everyone, at least not alone. Earlier this year I had the privilege of speaking at a men’s breakfast at our church, BridgePoint. I shared the need for others to help mentor and disciple men. Vincent (left in the picture) is one of the men who answered the call. Men with mentors are far more likely to succeed. Vincent and Greg are now living examples of this. Thank you for helping make this possible.
